J & M Sewing Service make items only to order, and Cassocks for Bishops, Clergy, Vergers and Readers are made to measure.
Because we have tried to help customers with sizing in the past, it has sometimes
been assumed that all our garments are made to measure. We have even had garments returned for differences as little as a quarter of an inch.
However, it is simply impossible to maintain competitive pricing and supply all garments made to measure, and this applies to any manufacturer in any trade.
So - apart form the Cassocks mentioned above - all the other garments made by J & M Sewing Service are cut from stock patterns, though to individual measurements.
We will do our best to accommodate customers who require garments in
non-standard sizes, and we are prepared to manufacture to individual requirements
on payment of an extra 5% above the quoted price for stock sizes.
However, it must be understood that garments made to individual requirements
which are different from our stock sizes will be non-returnable except for any
fault in manufacture.
This does not affect your Statutory Rights.
In order to avoid potential problems in mishearing colours, fabrics or sizes,
all telephone orders must be confirmed by post, fax or electronic mail.
Company policy does stipulate that we do ask for ALL Overseas Orders to be paid in full before, or at the time of, despatch.
